Now I play and my son and daughter play (much better than I do). We had our first snow August 28th. Tonight the temperature is -17 Celsius. Oh Canada! Still, the outdoor rinks are up in the parks and we'll be skating within the month. Happily, all the hockey pundits over here were completely wrong in their predictions this year. Calgary was tipped to miss the play-offs but is now at the top of the Western Conference. Montreal has traded their fifth Captain and since they are already suffering under the curse of Captain Kirk after trading Muller last year so nothing can be hoped for from them. Gretzky the has-been, is second in league scoring. Perhaps he should have retired, then he wouldn't be showing up so many hack writers. Is there junior hockey in England? It's war without bullets. |
