Devils, Stealers, IHNR eat your hearts out ! They should visit you to see how to do it. Pity you can't say the same about the hockey team though ! Joking.... Honest... New season, new (ish) team Squirt's OK as a coach .. got a good record. As for kingston hawks... how could you let them beat you again !!!!! Ayr are another matter. Oh, bye the way, you've probably guessed that I'm not a Storm Fan (exclusively) We've been Hockey fans for many years in this house, and have supported Humberside Seahawks, The one and only glorious WARRIORS, Cleveland (aka Billingham) Bombers, and now Ayr Scottish Eagles. We had a go at supporting Basingstoke Basin (deliberate error) but lets face it they are soooooo boring it's not possible. If you are a real Hockey nut you might just spot the connection....hint, Centre, Record holder for scoring at at least one of these clubs. PS. Could you pass a message on to Jeff Lindsay.."Yvette and Dave say congrats (belatedly) and hope that Kim and Kyle are doing well" |

Lawless is a good man, he will get you good players, if you want players today they will be dummies, you have to wait for the right guys to become available. |

The site is well organized and has all the things I wanna see. I've just been browsing the GuestBook and while I'm not a supporter of either the Storm or the Steelers, don't those Squealer's fan's get right up your nose, buy the biggest most expensive team of Canadians and other foreigners and then Lord it over the other clubs like they've achieved something. On their Superleague debut last night at the Sheffield Arena the Storm played well and held the Grand Slam Champions to a creditable 1-2 but in the final period the depth of the Steelers bench enabled them to keep the tempo of the game too high for the tiring Storm....the classiest move of the night coming from Welshman Nicky Chinn who out- thought, out-fought, and out paced the pedestrian Pallister to score the 6th goal of the game for the Steelers Final Score Steelers 6 Storm 1. I was wondering if the David Smith listed as a member of the Storm is the Dave Smith that played in the IHL with Los Angeles and Detroit last season? He seems like a nice guy. I wrote to him and he signed my cards and wrote a nice letter. He's a great offensive/powerplay forward. I was disapointed he never got a shot in the NHL. Also, I see Nick Poole is playing there. Saw him play many times with the Dayton Bombers. Not a bad offensive player, and is very tenacious on the forecheck and penalty kill. |
