There are links between minor clubs as there are between NHL and Minor clubs. If Flinton is in the Rangers system he would play with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL but could be demoted to the ECHL affiliate - the Checkers - for various reasons (not playing well, to get more ice-time, rehab an injury etc..)
