I also went to the bowling night and had a really good night, we did not see any of the problems that went on, but on the subject of the bowling comp we did not know there was one until the prises were given out and at that stage we had only just started bowling as had others who were not lucky enough to have got an early lane so I think to a certain extent that was a little unfair. Kurt also mentions this thing about putting s and a on scores well we got their at 7.05 and nobody told us that we had to do it so how the hell was everybody else supposed to know.
I'm not criticising Stormforce and I think you will find I actually thanked them on sunday, but the organisation of the actual games and the comp were a bit haphazard. With regard to the stormforce fixing things, under the previous committee the first ever quiz night was a blatant fix by certain members of the judging team (stormforce committee members) so that there cronies could win an example was that teams of 6 or less were submitted the ones that one were a team of 20 or more on one table, then there was the caption word were you had to come up with a word ect to do with hockey they came up with puck off
how original they won myself and others there that night commented on this to each other because complaining would not have made an apath of difference.
Carol may not have said tough, but some people on the committee seem to be rather up themselves and I personally have heard a number of complaints from friends and family.
As I have said I'm not here to slag of the Stormforce and I would just like to thank three people who make stormforce Ian, david, Barbara not to forget shane nutty as he is
The night was fun I enjoyed it and a great many others did to we all have to remember life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get so don't get upset and Stormforce chill out don't think that because you are on a committee it makes you any higher than any of the rest of us nutters who support this wonderful sport so comeon get of your box and dos with the rest of us take a note from Ian's book enjoy life.
