FWIW, I think Rowe is a good 'un, as is Smart. They let the game play, rather than impose themselves on it.
This doesn't mean things like Saturday (Cobras/Steelers) wouldn't occur, but I doubt any ref could stop players swinging sticks and breaking legs.
