Did he actually describe the game as a joke or
are these your words ? I hope these comments come back and haunt him if he
did say "joke". No two ways about it, there is a gulf in ability and budget between ISL and
the other UK leagues. Perhaps the Storm managment
should have picked tougher games for the pre-season
tournament rather than "joke" teams. Perhaps Mr.
ex-NHLer should think of the wider picture of giving
the smaller clubs a chance to play against the big
boys. They might get whipped, but they will put up
a good fight, play their best and learn a few lessons,
which can only help them in the long run.
