Two points come to mind now.
Firstly, the printing deadlines are so tight that nothing gets proof read after is passed on. This is because (if other people are anything like me!) the pages arrive at the Nynex 5 minutes before they are taken to the printers. The printers then print them and they are seen for the first time at the game! I looked closely at the Steelers programme and there are a number of spelling mistakes and errors in there also, but the reason it looks good is because it is in a style that is consistant all the way through. The Storm programme has a different design for every page!! I can only assume that this was done on purpose, and I personally think it's better the way Steelers lay it out, but it isn't THAT important! In an ideal world the printers would fax the pages back to Storm and it would be proof read, but there's no time. My own personal gripe with the printers is that I decided that the only way to make sure they didn't miss out the logos again on my page was to phone them up and remind them to put them in! So I did - and then found out that the reason they were not including them was because I was sending them in GIF and not JPG format. They hadn't let anyone know this, but just didn't include them. So, to get the correct logos to them in time for the deadline I had to drive all the way to St Helens at 11.30pm with a disk! At least now I know!
Secondly, people need to volunteer to write the articles. So, any volunteers?!!
