Great one mike.
So what if sheffield only has three sides as a Storm fan and an Ice hockey fan
Blackburn only have three sides Altringham only has three sides, this is what local ice hockey fans had before the introduction of the Nynex arena.(and yes I still support the local teams)
We cannot call Sheffield they have a proven track record of trophies as do Cardiff who are not doing so well at the moment.
I do not particularily like Sheffields style of play as it does seem to be based on goon and maime opposition players to win but each to their own and who are we to
have a go when it wins them games.
I prefer to watch a fair game so I would prefer for them to play a different style. It also interesting to consider that if Storm played a mixture of good hockey which we play now and then when we have to
defend a lead and we began to play a more aggressive style i.e boarding players instead of trying to push them into the corner we may now be in the B&H cup final instead of Ayr.
I think instead of bikering between each other we should just realise that we support diffrent teams and there is going to be a large amount of rivalry
between us but we have to join forces as hockey loving fans to get us more media coverage, and trying over come and educate those who like the person from Eccles in the Manchester Evening News seem to think, it is not a waste of time and just full of American hype
I go to watch ice hockey not to bop around and such like. I would nothave gone to Prague which is a hundred million miles from seeing any American hype if that is what I was interested in
I'm not so nieve to belive we can all be best buddies but let the micking taking be just that a bit of fun everyone can have a laugh at and then no one can take it personally
So COME ON SHEFFIELD AYR NEWCASTLE NOTTINGHAM BASINGSTOKE CARDIFF BRACKNALL LETS STOP THE PETTYNESS AND GET OUT THERE A PROMOTE THE SPORT
