Hear! Hear! I've been watching the Storm/Steelers debate for some days now and it seems that the point is being seriously missed. The most important thing is the game. The majority of fans from all sides come to the Arena and receive a warm welcome; this is sometimes marred by teams' off ice activities. The responsibility for discipline on the ice lies with the governing body who really need to get their act together and achieve consistency. I note that Tomlinson's serious injury which got our D'man a 3 match ban didn't prevent him from icing against Moscow. Was the ban due to the incicent or the reaction of Storm management? In the past we in Sheffield have had to suffer in silence as some of our better players have received serious facial injuries. No suspensions have resulted. This has continued this season and only good fortune has prevented career threatening injuries such as loss of an eye. I do not exaggerate! Let's all get behind our respective team but, for the good of the game do some serious lobbying of the ISL to enforce a strict but fair disciplinary code with time allowed for a fair hearing and the right of appeal. Until they do the debate will overshadow the great game of hockey!
